As the organization’s lead visionary, Don drives the company’s creative direction, new business development, and long-term strategic growth, continually identifying opportunities to expand the reach and impact of the Convivial family of brands.

Don began his career in sales and as a stockbroker in Chicago before discovering his entrepreneurial path while attending Michigan 
State University. Inspired by handmade greeting cards created by his now-wife Jennifer, he founded Design Design from a small Chicago apartment. What began as a 72-card assortment has grown into Convivial Brands— an organization dedicated to turning occasions into celebrations through brands including Verdant Graphics, The High Five, and TABLEAU.

Based in Grand Rapids, Michigan, Don is passionate about mentoring entrepreneurs through the JEM Organization and investing in his community. Outside of work, he enjoys spending time with his wife, children, and grandchildren, along with biking, gardening, cooking, and exploring his hometown.
